The Birch Lane Montessori Program is available to children in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. All students eligible to attend Davis schools may apply. Students from outside Davis may also apply through the Interdistrict Transfer Program.
The Birch Lane Montessori program is a choice program within the Davis, CA public schools, known as the Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD). All enrollment is handled by the DJUSD and all standard enrollment forms are required. To enroll in the Birch Lane Montessori program, you must also include the choice program application for 2026-27 (coming soon). All material must be submitted together per the DJUSD enrollment instructions.

Each year, the Davis Joint Unified School District schedules Information nights for each school and program in Davis. Exact dates and times will be announced in mid-December. The information session typically includes a brief explanation of the Montessori method and the Birch Lane program, a tour of a Kindergarten/1st grade mixed grade classroom, and some parent testimonials. This will be followed by a question and answer session with Birch Lane Montessori teachers, parents, and the school principal.
